Thick stamp — why this row exists. The 1st Edition symbol was applied to Wizards-era cards in a separate stamping pass, and Elite Fourum’s masters guide records the outcome as a class of stamp variations across several sets: stamps that printed thicker (bolder), thinner, grey or smeared than normal. This row is PriceCharting’s listing for a Team Rocket 1st Edition copy whose stamp printed heavy. How to tell: compare the “Edition 1” symbol against an ordinary copy — on the thick version the numerals and lettering are visibly bolder and wider. Treat the label with caution: Elite Fourum’s collectors’ thread reports that only Base Set carries true thick stamps and that later sets carry thin ones, and Bulbapedia does not document a thick stamp for The Boss’s Way. Our price data carries no sales at all for this row, so there is no market figure behind it. Source: Elite Fourum, Masters Guide for WOTC Corrected Errors & Test Cards.
