Both are live searches for this printing, not listings — the prices above are sold comps, and asking prices will differ. eBay links are affiliate links (eBay Partner Network); we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Japanese Expansion Pack was printed in two runs, told apart by the rarity symbol — the October 1996 first print carries none, and this card also exists as With Rarity. Tap a printing to open its page.

The No Rarity printing. The Expansion Pack went on sale on 20 October 1996 and its first print run carried no rarity symbol in the bottom-right corner of the card. The symbol was added to later printings, so an unmarked card is the original 1996 run and a marked one is a later print of the same card. Nothing else about the card changed — same artwork, same number, same text — which is why the two are told apart by that one mark and why the no-rarity copies are the scarcer of the pair. How to tell: look at the bottom-right corner; no ■ / ◆ / ★ mark means this printing. Source: Bulbapedia, Base Set (TCG) — No Rarity; PriceCharting's own listing files the two as separate products.
