Japanese Expansion Pack was printed in two runs, told apart by the rarity symbol — the October 1996 first print carries none, and this card also exists as With Rarity. Tap a printing to open its page.

With Rarity$2.37 raw3.9× this printing on rawThe No Rarity printing. The Expansion Pack went on sale on 20 October 1996 and its first print run carried no rarity symbol in the bottom-right corner of the card. The symbol was added to later printings, so an unmarked card is the original 1996 run and a marked one is a later print of the same card. Nothing else about the card changed — same artwork, same number, same text — which is why the two are told apart by that one mark and why the no-rarity copies are the scarcer of the pair. How to tell: look at the bottom-right corner; no ■ / ◆ / ★ mark means this printing. Source: Bulbapedia, Base Set (TCG) — No Rarity; PriceCharting's own listing files the two as separate products.
Machine-compiled card record. Number, rarity, type and illustrator from TCGdex's Japanese card data (set PMCG1); release date 1996-10-20. Prices are PriceCharting sold comps (October 28, 2026), and each printing shows that printing's own scan, taken from the source listing.
