Japanese CD Promo Trade Please Standard: Prices by Grade

Japanese CD Promo (1999) · Standard

Prices for this printing

Each row opens to its sales — dated, venue-labelled, linked where the listing still exists. Raw is our own estimate: the average of the five highest ungraded sales in the last three months, priced from eBay completed listings only — graded slabs from other companies, multi-card lots and reprints are filtered out, and the table under it lists exactly those five with the date each one sold. Vintage raw sales are dominated by played copies, while the near-mint copies people actually grade are the expensive ones. Each graded row averages the sales listed under it. PSA and CGC are priced separately and never averaged together. Every block names the sales it rests on.

CGC — the same card graded by CGC. Priced separately from PSA, because the two companies grade to different standards and their prices are never blended.

Sources, named per row. Graded PSA rows come from PriceCharting's PSA grade bands — the grader is named in the seller's own listing title, so each row is one sold listing with its date and link, and two kinds of record are left out: sales far below the card's own auction level (counterfeit slabs and mis-listed items carry copied cert numbers, which is how a real PSA 10 Charizard cert appears at $36) and ended fixed-price listings, which are not confirmed sales. Every row links to its own sold listing. Ungraded and CGC rows come from eBay completed listings via PriceCharting: the seller's own title is what removed the other companies' slabs, the multi-card lots and the reprints, and each row links to the eBay item — eBay retires item pages after a few months, so an older row may no longer open.

Both are live searches for this printing, not listings — the prices above are sold comps, and asking prices will differ. eBay links are affiliate links (eBay Partner Network); we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Printing

Japanese CD Promo shipped as one package in January 1999 and the cards carry no printed number — there is no 1st Edition or Unlimited variant to look for.

The three Pikachu Records cards, plus the package's plain prints. Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur carry the Pikachu Records lightning bolt in the set-symbol position — the same three cards the 1998 Trade Please campaign handed out, which is why a loose copy cannot prove which distribution it came from. Source: the Pokémon Song Best Collection package contents (TGCS-570, 1 January 1999).

Where this card fits

Machine-compiled card record. The cards print no collector number, so the number shown is the National Dex the price source files them by — except the English Pikachu, which is Base Set #58. Prices are PriceCharting sold comps (November 6, 2026) with PSA and CGC kept separate. No structured fact source exists for this package, so rarity, type and illustrator are omitted rather than invented.
