Japanese Pokémon VS Card List
The Japanese Pokémon VS set (ポケモンカード★VS) arrived on 19 July 2001 as three 30-card half decks — Fighting/Psychic, Grass/Lightning and Water/Fire — built around the Gym Leader characters. It is the first Japanese expansion with Secret cards and the first with a 1st Edition run; 145 numbered cards appear here, including the three special Energy cards. It was never released outside Japan. This page lists every card with its printings priced separately — 145 printing records — and every one opens its own record with the prices, the printing notes and where to buy.

How many cards are in the Japanese Pokémon VS?
The set holds 145 cards, released July 19, 2001. This site tracks 145 printings of them (Standard 145), each with its own record and price.
What printings does it have?
Pokémon VS shipped only in 1st Edition with one exception: Pryce's Lapras 041 also had an Unlimited print distributed as a magazine insert. So a VS card is a 1st Edition card unless it is that one Lapras. Source: Bulbapedia, Pokémon VS (TCG).
What is the most valuable card in the set?
Karen's Umbreon #91 at $2,036 raw, about $15,000 in PSA 10. One raw copy of every printing here totals $10,917.
Is this the same as nothing in English — VS was never localised?
No — they are related releases, not the same cards. This is the Japanese printing, in Japanese, with its own numbering and its own prices. Treat a Japanese card as a different printing rather than a translation of the English one.
Prices are PriceCharting sold comps read 2026-10-28 and are per printing; card numbers, rarities, types and illustrators come from TCGdex's Japanese card data (set vs1). One raw copy of every printing on this page totals $10,917.
