Japanese CoroCoro Promos Illustrator Pikachu CoroCoro: Prices by Grade

Japanese CoroCoro Promos (1996) · CoroCoro

Prices for this printing

Each row opens to its sales — dated, venue-labelled, linked where the listing still exists. Raw is our own estimate: the average of the five highest ungraded sales in the last three months, priced from eBay completed listings only — graded slabs from other companies, multi-card lots and reprints are filtered out, and the table under it lists exactly those five with the date each one sold. Vintage raw sales are dominated by played copies, while the near-mint copies people actually grade are the expensive ones. Each graded row averages the sales listed under it. PSA and CGC are priced separately and never averaged together. Every block names the sales it rests on.

Raw (ungraded)1 sales · last sold 9 Aug 26$2,000
SoldMarketplaceTypePrice
9 Aug 26eBaySale$2,000eBay

Estimated NM price: $2,000 · average of the 1 most recent recorded ungraded sales — the newest is 9 Aug 26, so this card has not sold in the last 3 months: $2,000 (9 Aug 26).

CGC — the same card graded by CGC. Priced separately from PSA, because the two companies grade to different standards and their prices are never blended.

— No recorded sale in any CGC grade that we can find for this card, so there is no CGC price to show. The category is here rather than hidden, because "no sale yet" and "not tracked" are different answers.

PSA — sold rows graded by PSA, read from the same product page as the raw and CGC rows.

Average of the 3 most recent recorded sales: $489,733 · 2 of them older than three months: $4,200 (21 Sep 26) · $625,000 (8 Nov 25) · $840,000 (11 Jun 22).

Sources, named per row. Graded PSA rows come from PriceCharting's PSA grade bands — the grader is named in the seller's own listing title, so each row is one sold listing with its date and link, and two kinds of record are left out: sales far below the card's own auction level (counterfeit slabs and mis-listed items carry copied cert numbers, which is how a real PSA 10 Charizard cert appears at $36) and ended fixed-price listings, which are not confirmed sales. Every row links to its own sold listing. Ungraded and CGC rows come from eBay completed listings via PriceCharting: the seller's own title is what removed the other companies' slabs, the multi-card lots and the reprints, and each row links to the eBay item — eBay retires item pages after a few months, so an older row may no longer open.

Both are live searches for this printing, not listings — the prices above are sold comps, and asking prices will differ. eBay links are affiliate links (eBay Partner Network); we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Printing

Japanese CoroCoro Promos are magazine inserts, not a set: one printing each, no 1st Edition and no Unlimited run, and no collector number on the card. This card is CoroCoro.

The Corrected Illustrator Pikachu. The most valuable card in this family by orders of magnitude: the original 1998 illustration-contest Pikachu is the grail card of the hobby, and this corrected CoroCoro-distributed version is its far more obtainable sibling. Treat any raw copy as authentication-first - a graded example is the only sane way to buy one. Where this card fits

Machine-compiled card record. CoroCoro inserts print no collector number, so the number shown is the Pokedex number the price source files the card by. Prices are PriceCharting sold comps (November 7, 2026) with PSA and CGC kept separate. Eight cards of this family are documented but have no price-source listing - Brock's Onix, Misty's Tentacool, Cubone (1998), Blaine's Growlithe, Sabrina's Abra (1999), Marill (1999), Unown (2000) and Smoochum (2001) - and therefore no page.
