Japanese Champion Road Promos Card List

Champion Road was the 2000 tournament circuit, and its prize cards are scarcer than any holo of that year. Three are priced here: Fruit of Healing and Fruit of Miracle — the cards collectors call Berry and Miracle Berry — and No.1 Trainer, awarded to a Champion Road Mega Battle winner. The naming is the trap: search “Berry” and you will find nothing, because the card prints Fruit of Healing. Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile were prizes on the same circuit and have no price-source listing, so they are named rather than given pages with invented figures. This page lists every card with its printings priced separately — 3 printing records — and every one opens its own record with the prices, the printing notes and where to buy.

Japanese Champion Road Promos At a Glance

How many cards are in the Japanese Champion Road Promos?

The set holds 3 cards, released 2000. This site tracks 3 printings of them (Champion Road 3), each with its own record and price.

What printings does it have?

Tournament prize cards: no 1st Edition, no Unlimited run, and no collector number. The number shown, where there is one, is the Pokedex number the price source files the card by. Sources: folio.fyi's Champion Road 2000 entries; price-source naming and prices.

What is the most valuable card in the set?

No. 1 Trainer: Champion Road Mega Battle at $103,700 raw, about $139 in PSA 10. One raw copy of every printing here totals $103,700.

How do these cards relate to the English printing?

No English version of these cards exists. Champion Road was a Japanese circuit; the English equivalents were the Wizards tournament promos, which are different cards, so these are the only printings of these cards that were ever made. They are one of just two Japanese releases of the era with no English counterpart at all.

How do I tell a Japanese Champion Road Promos card apart from the English printing?

Turn it over, which is the quickest tell there is: this set predates July 2001, when Japanese cards carried the Pocket Monsters Card Game back — a design no English card ever had, against the blue Pokémon back. The back changed once, with Pokémon VS in July 2001, so the back alone dates a card to this era.

Either way, the symbol beside the number is the Japanese set's own, not the English set's.

Prices are PriceCharting sold comps read 2026-11-07 and are per printing. This set is not in TCGdex, and no structured fact source covers it, so rarity, type and illustrator are omitted rather than guessed. One raw copy of every printing on this page totals $103,700.
