Japanese Base Expansion Pack Card List
The Base Expansion Pack (基本拡張パック) opened the Pokémon Card e era on 1 December 2001 with 128 cards — the e-Reader generation, and the counterpart of the English Expedition. It reprints a run of Base Set Pokémon at new numbers alongside the new Johto cards, which is why 32 names appear twice. This page lists every card with its printings priced separately — 255 printing records — and every one opens its own record with the prices, the printing notes and where to buy.

Japanese Base Expansion Pack at a glance
How many cards are in the Japanese Base Expansion Pack?
The set holds 128 cards, released December 1, 2001. This site tracks 255 printings of them (1st Edition 127 · Unlimited 128), each with its own record and price.
What printings does it have?
This set shipped in two runs: 1st Edition (stamped, printed first, the scarcer of the two) and Unlimited. Both carry the same printed number, so a card carries two prices wherever the market lists both. Source: Bulbapedia, 1st Edition (TCG) — Japan Release.
What is the most valuable card in the set?
Mew #119 at $547 raw, about $12,150 in PSA 10. One raw copy of every printing here totals $11,568.
Is this the same as the English Expedition?
No — they are related releases, not the same cards. This is the Japanese printing, in Japanese, with its own numbering and its own prices. Treat a Japanese card as a different printing rather than a translation of the English one.
Prices are PriceCharting sold comps read 2026-10-28 and are per printing; card numbers, rarities, types and illustrators come from TCGdex's Japanese card data (set E1). One raw copy of every printing on this page totals $11,568.
