WotC League Energy Master Set
The WotC League Energy set is 7 cards: 7 promos, each issued in a single holofoil printing — so there is no second run to collect and no Grand tier to chase.
League Energy · 2002Seven holofoil Energies, and not one of them has a number
These are the holofoil Energy cards handed out through the Pokémon League in 2002, in the “Energize Your Game” cycle: one Energy and one Black Star promo each season, and no badges. They carry no collector number at all — the card is identified by the Energy type and the League holo, which is exactly why they get mislabelled in listings.

Your WotC League Energy Master Set Questions, Answered
How many cards are in the WotC League Energy set?
Seven. Fighting, Fire, Grass, Lightning, Psychic, Rainbow and Water Energy, each a holofoil card issued through the Pokémon League in 2002.
Why are there only seven when the League ran eight seasons?
An eighth exists — Recycle Energy, the Season 8 card — but our price source carries no listing for it at all, so it is not counted or priced here. Naming it is more useful than inventing a row.
Do these cards have collector numbers?
No. None of the seven carries a number. That is the single most important thing to know when buying: a listing that gives one a number — or shows it as a numbered promo — is describing something it is not. The Energy type and the League holo are the identification.
Are these the same as Best of Game?
No. Both came out of League play, which is why they get confused. Best of Game is the 2002–03 BattleZone cycle of Pokémon cards; these Energies belong to the season before it, and were handed out alongside Black Star promos #42–#49.
How much does it cost to complete the League Energies?
Based on ungraded sold comps at PriceCharting, all seven total $111.57.
Prices move over time, so treat this as a current market estimate. There is no cheaper or dearer printing to choose between — each card exists once.
